Otovation to power its RemoteEAR technology, unique for the flexibility it gives hearing care
professionals for conferencing and remote diagnostic services.
The technology enables an audiologist or other hearing care professional to perform an exam and
provide face-to-face counseling with the patient using RemotEAR, a branded version of RHUB
Communications’ web, video conferencing and remote desktop technology.

The diagnostic exam using RemotEAR can consist of audiometry, tympanometry, video otoscopy,
and otoacoustic emissions testing. Use of RemoteEAR requires only a highspeed
Internet connection, and can also be utilized in a local-area or wide-area network
environment. The service enables hearing care professionals to control the diagnostic exam with
the help of an assistant at the office where the patient is located, and provides a secure and robust
set of features for managing the patient care process.
